Drop the support for 4.5 and 4.7 and switch to the Network API.

Description
A very small percentage of our existing users are still using 4.5 or 4.7. I would drop the support for OS4.5 and 4.7 and move on. Dropping support for those OS, will give us the opportunity to use the Network API, getting rid of GFC, and I hope this will help to reduce the number of communication issues.
